Morgan State University is pleased to offer our students a comprehensive health insurance plan that meets the individual insurance requirements and mandate under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act at an affordable cost of $475 for the full academic year.

All Full-time undergraduate students taking 12 or more credit hours, International J-1 Visa Exchange Students and Scholars are automatically enrolled and billed each semester for this student insurance plan when registered.
Students who have other creditable health insurance may elect to waive out of the student health insurance plan by completing the online waiver application by the semester deadline.

Part-time, graduate, and NEXUS students are eligible to enroll in this insurance plan on a voluntary basis.  To enroll in the student health insurance plan you must complete the Enrollment Form under the 2014-15 Information or contact the University Health Center at (443) 885-3236 /

Students who wish to obtain insurance coverage for their eligible dependents must be enrolled themselves in the Student Health Plan and the effective and termination dates of coverage must match that of the insured student's coverage.

This Student Health Insurance Plan is a self-funded student health plan and is not subject to regulation under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (ACA).   Morgan State University has voluntarily included ACA in its program benefits that are designed to meet or exceed requirements that would otherwise apply to fully insured student health insurance programs.
